Choosing a Side Tiara

Side tiaras work nicely either without a veil, or if the veil is worn at the back of the head.

The difference between a normal tiara and a side tiara is that (obviously) a side tiara sits off centre and therefore may not work as well if the veil is sitting in the centre on the top of your head.

Matching the detailing of your dress

I also believe that side tiaras work nicely if your wedding dress has detailing on one side or is asymmetrical in any way. The side tiara looks great worn on the opposite side and carried the theme to balance your look.

What is a Side Tiara?

Side tiaras are very popular and come in all different shapes and sizes.

I find the most popular side tiaras are the 'Crystal Spray' which is shown in the combs section but can be adapted and also the ' Vine spray wedding hairband' also shown in the wedding hair combs section.

A headband is usually used for creating a side tiara but not everyone likes the actuall band to show. For this reason I also offer a service where the band part of a side-tiara is painted a darker colour so that it is disguised when worn in darker hair.

The effect is very good and it also means that you don't need to worry about your hair accessory slipping or moving throughout the wedding day.
